One Week Gone

I just saved a week on my pregnancy!

OK, so the doctor decided that according to my ultrasound my due date is March 17 instead of March 22.

Brent and I went out to play at Viejas, a local Indian casino and had a pretty good day. I won $50 on a nickel slot, so I quit while I was way, way ahead. We don’t go out there very often, it’s a 40+ mile drive and neither of us is really into gambling, but it’s fun when we go.

I’m very happy. I got approved for the company I wanted for my jewelry affiliate website, so soon I’ll be able to launch it. I just have to decide what the best way to handle the product feeds and SEO are, and I’ll be set for launch. I need to get this site moving so there’s at least a slim chance of the search engines finding it before Christmas. If not, well, there’s always Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, birthdays, anniversaries, etc., throughout the year.

Kitchen? What Kitchen?

So much for having a functioning kitchen… now the plumber’s not coming until Friday morning. Seems the person who took the original didn’t take into consideration how long it would take to do all the work.

I want my kitchen back!

Site Split?

Phew! Been a while since I posted, but it’s been hectic. I just had too much nausea from this pregnancy to get much of anything done. But it’s just about gone now, so I can start being a little more myself.

Ariel has decided she loves hide and seek, which can make getting things done interesting. She keeps running up and saying “mommy count” and then she hides, almost always behind her stroller. I of course pretend not to find her right away so she gets the thrill of not being found quickly.

I’m thinking about splitting this website in two, a stay at home/work at home jobs site and a home business site. It just seems to me that sometimes certain articles get better interest in the newsletter, and since I started a just home business site it might make more sense to move the business side of the newsletter over there. I’d keep pretty much everything else the same, discussion boards and so forth. I think I’ll put in a poll starting next week in the newsletter and see if I get favorable opinions on that.

Contractors!

Aack! Why can’t contractors make it when they say they will? I got a call this morning saying the new granite countertops would be installed today, now after hours of waiting, it’s happening tomorrow. I put off some work to have things ready. Plus side is it will be easy to keep things ready and they’re supposed to arrive just about first thing tomorrow morning.

Now I have so much work to do! Pay period ends Sunday, and weekends are notorious on my account for lacking available work, so I have to get busy!

Nice Surprise

Well that was a pleasant surprise…

I just took a look at my stats for my credit card website. I hadn’t realized I got a couple of commissions last month from it. Must have been when I was on vacation. I like that kind of surprise.

Now if I can just multiply that by a few dozen, hundred….
