I’m making progress on the move to a new host finally. Took them a while to get things setup - for some reason my payment didn’t show up, so the order sat as pending. I’ve had that happen a lot with PayPal lately. It’s very frustrating.

Now I’m working on getting the discussion board set up so that when I can start moving the nameservers everything should be ready to go. I’ve been backing it up regularly each day whenever I think of it, even though the change shouldn’t happen until tomorrow, and then it will take some time, I assume, for the change in nameservers to propagate. That’s normally about two days for complete propagation.

The hosting company I’m using is TotalChoiceHosting. They give a lot of space and are very affordable. I’ve been happy with them for my Jewels to Remember site, so now they get one that is quite a bit more important to me. The extras they offer that the old host didn’t will give me quite a bit more flexibility to do things, so I am really looking forward to having this host. The only hard part is that I might have my discussion boards down for a couple days. Moving this blog, on the other hand, will be the easy part. Just have to change a few settings and republish.

I can’t spend too much time on this today, though. Ariel’s with her grandparents, and I really need to get transcription done while I can before I have this baby. I have someone coming over to pick up the old couch finally, so my mother’s coming by rather than have me meet these people here alone. Not paranoid, just cautious. It will be so nice to be able to reclaim my living room and sit on my beautiful, new to me couch at long last!
