I feel so relieved right now. Waiting to get the insurance mess cleared up has been so stressful, but now things are looking up. Gage’s CT scan will be on April 20. It’s a bit of a scary prospect, as they will have to use anesthesia, but this is the next step towards fixing his scaphocephaly.
I’m also realizing how lucky I am in that there are experienced doctors in my area. Apparently there are very few teams that do this kind of surgery, so having a team in the city where I live is marvelous and a huge savings financially.
Now I can focus with a somewhat clearer head on the things I need to get done… business, taxes, medical transcription… although I just about want to laugh with relief that progress is finally being made.
Tomorrow might be a fun day. We have relatives coming over from Denmark. They’re near my age so it should be fun to meet them. We were going to clean the apartment and do taxes, but now we’re thinking about joining them at Sea World instead. Be a nice break from all the stress. Then again, since we’re also planning on going to the Renaissance Faire on Saturday, we know we’ll be getting a break anyhow.
Either way, I’m feeling good today, for the first time since the insurance mess became clear.
