Do you do affiliate marketing?

Are you serious about affiliate marketing? Well, this won’t take much money… in fact it won’t take any. Anik Singal is offering a free course on affiliate marketing. I’ve been getting the course for a while, and it has some great ideas. I use my Gmail account, and most of them end up saved (yes, even with Gmail I delete a lot) so that I can refer back to them later.

Now, if the course isn’t quite enough for you, you can take things a step further and try out Affiliate Classroom for just $1. Considering the sheer quantity of information offered at Affiliate Classroom, that’s a great price to be allowed to try it out for a while. It’s a monthly subscription after the trial runs out, but I think you’ll find it worth your while.

Me? As I’ve said, I have enjoyed the free course so far immensely, and I’ll be trying out the Classroom shortly. Just have to finish taking care of my nieces first. My brother-in-law’s surgery that was supposed to happen last week was switched to this week, and I know I won’t be able to get the full benefit until things are back to normal around here. But when I sign up, I’ll be posting about the experience.

Double trouble plus!

It’s my second day today of watching 4 kids - my two (ages 3 years and 8 months) and my sister’s two (ages 4 and 2). It’s definitely more than double trouble. First of all, my 8 month old is pretty mellow, so he’s easy to care for. Second, my sister’s kids aren’t terribly used to me, since they’ve only had one overnight stay before this with me.

They’re with me because my brother-in-law is having surgery today. Matter of fact, he should be in there right now, unless he got rescheduled again. He was originally scheduled earlier this morning. His surgery is to repair a congenital heart defect that was originally fixed when he was a baby, but now needs work again. It should be about a two week hospital stay.

Thank goodness I am not solely responsible for the kids the entire time. My mother will be taking my sister’s kids for most of it, then I’ll be going to her place to help her.

It’s a sacrifice in terms of time I can spend on my business, but that is one of the beauties of working at home; it isn’t too much of a sacrifice for me. I can work evenings if I’m not totally drained from the day, but even if I don’t, I still have income coming in while I help my sister’s family.
