I really want to know what some of these keyboard shortcuts are that my kids keep finding.
Today I got on my computer to find that all my desktop icons suddenly had a blue background, rather that appearing to float over the picture I have set as my background. My son had been pounding on the keyboard a short time before.
Right clicked on the desktop and looked at all the properties. Changed everything around trying to figure things out. Nothing worked.
Finally I did a search and came up with a few possible answers. The one that worked for me was to right click on the desktop and select Arrange Icons By. Sure enough, Lock Web Items on Desktop was checked. Unchecked it and the icons went back to normal.
My kids do stuff like this regularly. I have a thin bar over my regular Task Bar that I don’t know how to get rid of. My son put that one there too by pounding on the keyboard. Haven’t been able to find that one in a search.
When Ariel was a baby, she pounded on the keyboard one day and opened up Internet Explorer, then Outlook, then successfully addressed an email due to the Autocomplete feature.
I don’t know how to access any of these shortcuts my kids do. It amazes me to realize just how many keyboard shortcuts there must be.
