Working at home is not so easy. I say that often and I mean it. But I also wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Working at home means having days like today when I can barely take two steps away from my son because he keeps wanting something or needing help. For a kid who is less than two yeras old he is remarkably good with small beads, stringing ones his sister couldn’t do at 3 years of age. But it can be frustrating when he calls me over every time he drops one.

Then again, I wouldn’t want to miss that.

Having a work at home based business means that I have no guarantee of income. Sometimes that’s hard. But I do pretty well and I know that as I keep things up my income should keep improving.

I’ve been a work at home mom about as long as I’ve been a mother, starting while I was still pregnant with my first. I was lucky that way. While some days the kids drive me nuts with clinginess and a refusal to play together, giving me peaceful time to work, that’s part of the bargain. I may grumble at times but I can’t imagine any other lifestyle.
