I got an offer to take a look at Shawn McGee’s website offering a product to help you leverage your marketing dollars better. Yes, in other words a sponsored post.

The product being offered, Leverage Marketing, is geared toward those who want to spend their advertising dollars more wisely. It’s a toolkit to help you. No, not an electronic toolkit. These are physical books being sent to you.

Now, I’ve never heard of Shawn McGee and a quick search turns up many people of that name, so it’s quite difficult to say anything about his skills. He says he has worked with a wide range of clients helping them with their marketing efforts. This is, of course one of the challenges of going from helping businesses to selling a product online; many people will not have heard of you and it takes time to build your reputation online no matter what it may be in the real world.

If you purchase his toolkit you get three books. These are more workbooks rather than reading material as I understand it, which is probably helpful. And having physical books is very useful for those who do better reading from paper than from the screen. It is also all too easy for ebooks to get lost in hard drive clutter.

He is quite confident as to the quality of his product, offering a 60 day 110% guarantee. I won’t quote pricing here, as he states he intends to change it over time, and shipping is free now but not forever.

Something like this should be very good for someone who is seriously working on how they spend their marketing budget. I wouldn’t even necessarily say that it has to be a large marketing budget. Even little ads can create amazing results or be utter flops, and if you advertise regularly you need to make the most of the money and time you spend on it.

I would love to hear from somebody who has actually checked this out. Reviewing a website for a new product is quite challenging without knowing much about the product itself or the creator.
