I’m actually surprised. Ariel asked me to get her a chick for Easter. Obviously, I’m not going to do it. I have no idea how to care for one and they can carry salmonella.
She was so cute when she was asking, though. Very sincere and with some definite ideas as to how she’d care for it and have it sleep with her in her bed. My dear daughter certainly knows what she wants.
We’re planning on having a lot of fun for Easter, of course. We’re dying eggs later this week, and have plenty of treats for the Easter baskets. I don’t think she’ll end up too disappointed when she doesn’t find a chick on Easter Sunday.
