I have an office in my home and I am much more productive in here! I do have a small area for the kids to play with a keyboard and old PC, since they all like to type.

In my office I have it decorated so it feels warm and I am comfortable when I am in here working.

My “office” has the kid’s computer in it. I often have to work with one of my kids on the other machine. (They know by now that they can’t have the sound on if I am working.) I certainly wish I had my own space with a door …

My son loves trucks too. Any time one passes, he hollers “Truck! Truuuuuck!”

And who wouldn’t love naptime work time? My challenge with that right now is that my son is trying to give up naps. He’s only 2-1/2, so I don’t want to give them up yet.

I have a similar challenge. We are currently building our house, so we live in one small room (16Â´ square) and in one corner is my “office”, a table with my computer and a cork bulletin board on the wall for my notes. My husband has his computer on the other side of a wardrobe. Luckily, our two kids (19 months and 2 months) are not yet using the computer! (Although my toddler tries to sometimes!)

I find that working in a corner helps, with the wardrobe behind me. It leaves only one side for distractions (like a truck-loving boy) to approach. Also, working during the quieter times of the day, early morning, naps and at night is easier.
