Working at home makes it really difficult to make sure you get that time with your kids. When you work away, there is a quitting time, but at home, you could just keep working all night long! (which I´m sure all of us do at times)

For me, the best way to spend time with my sons and husband is to get out of the house and away from the lure of the computer. We go do the grocery shopping and stop at the park, or even just take a stroll to get an ice cream. The kids love being out and it´s good to get some exercise. I don´t have a laptop, so I´m not tempted to take work with me!

Also, in my house, I stop working around 4 when I have to wash and boil bottles, put supper on and then, until the boys go to bed, I just turn off the computer. We read together, watch fun shows or just have a tickle fight. During this time, we also have a bath for them and supper, of course, but it´s about paying attention to them instead of work. That´s something that is far too important to miss out on.
