Sometimes it just happens. Mommy gets tired. You can guess why I chose this for my Thursday Thirteen.
I only hope I have the energy to finish.
- Get caffeine! I’m not a big caffeine user as a rule. Never developed a taste for coffee and I rarely keep soda in the house. But there are days…
- Take a nap. I managed a light snooze while my son watched Sesame Street as he sat on my lap.
- Get away from the computer and do sometime active. Yeah, right. I don’t do this one very often, but it does work most times.
- Go to bed earlier. Another one I’m terrible at.
- Know when you’re most productive and take advantage of it.
- Spread activities out.
- Cut back. Do you really have to do it all?
- Make the kids help.
- Encourage the kids to do independent projects. Any time you don’t have to heavily supervise, you can relax a little.
- The crockpot
is your friend!
- So is a warm bath. Just don’t fall asleep in the water.
- Find out if the kids can go play with friends.
- Ask husband for back rub. Great way to fall asleep… if he lets you.
I did it. I survived writing this list without falling aslee…zzzzzzz

Love this list!!! I was so tired this morning, that after I took my three year old to pre school, I had to have a nap. I put my 1 year old in her crib, and gave my sick 11 year old strict instructions not to come out of his room, and had a glorious two hour nap!!!! Yeah for naps! (that staying up late does it every time, but it is so hard not to do it.
Great list! My husband is sweet enough to give me back rubs, and they really do help me fall asleep. I think it’s awesome that you stay at home with your kids; I hope I can do that when I have kids! Happy TT. My list is 13 movies I can watch repeatedly and never tire of.
Great advice! Good luck on getting some rest!
Cute! What a great list!
Try napping during the day if you get a chance. Daytime naps are even more fun when you know that everyone else is up and working!
