I just completed an interview today and have one scheduled for next Thursday in the States. Check out my feelings regarding looking for a job when you're past 60 at http://peoplepowergranny.blogspot.com

This is a GREAT list! I heartily agree with #1 - that's how I ended up writing for KMM! :-)

#6 and #9 are great too. If a person has applied for unemployment benefits, they may be asked to provide proof that they are actively seeking new employment in order to receive any funds. Even if you don't get the job, you can prove that you are making a valid attempt instead of just working (no pun intended) the system.

That's some great advice! I have to agree with you that your first impression should always be your best impression (even if just dropping off your resume or application). Happy TT
