Just found your site/blog and posted your frugality trap article on my site. Over the years my husband has had several jobs where he would be laid off for periods of time and then return to work for the same job. At times it was stressful, but our boys loved having him home. I found I was sometimes trying to do too much when he was around and had to just relax and not worry about trying to get everything done. After he went back to work I always missed having him around and wished I'd enjoyed our times together more. And yes, it was hard for the boys to adjust to having him leave again! Hi! Her husband initially balked at becoming their 3-year-old's primary caregiver, but by the time he found a job, both dad and son were remarkably attached to each other.
