Math Games

Many people dread math, but it's an important part of real life. Wouldn't you love to give your children a great start with math?

Ok, so you might dread helping them learn it, but good math skills are a great way to get ahead in life. Sure, you could use the good old fashioned flash cards, but where's the fun in that?

For just general interest building for math, I recommend the book "Math Curse." This is a book I picked up years ago as a present for my niece when she was much too young to understand the math behind the story, but she loved the story itself. As she got older, she was fascinated by the concepts the story explained and how they related to everyday life. I'll be picking it up in the next year or two for my daughter.

Of course, that only teaches a very little bit of math. When you want to get serious about helping your child learn math, it's time to get some help. There are great programs out there to help you help your child learn math.

WordSmart has a great math program. Learning mathematics is fun for kids with Math Adventure!

No doubt you've heard of the Hooked on Phonics program. Did you know they do math as well? Try Hooked on Math with your child. Just like Hooked on Phonics, they have a great guarantee that you will see results quickly.

Your child may not need as much help as either of these programs offer. Maybe he or she just needs practice. Perhaps a toy such as the Math Whiz would be more fun.

We have all kinds of math toys and math computer games available to you..
