Computers are great practical gift for students or people who work at home. I (obviously) couldn't run my home business without one. For students, computers are a great learning tool, and for everyone they provide ways to relax.
Apple Mac Pro MA356LL/A Desktop PC (Two 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon Processors, 1 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive, SuperDrive) - Power is one thing many people need in their computers. It's good for playing games and for working.
HP Pavilion A1630N Desktop PC (AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 4200+, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive, SuperMulti Drive) - A good, more affordable computer. I can't believe how much more powerful this thing is than my 5 year old machine, which was pretty impressive at the time!
Sony VAIO VGC-RC310G Digital Studio Desktop PC (Intel Pentium D Processor 940, 2 GB RAM, 300 GB Hard Drive, DVD+/-RW Drive) - A higher end machine, but on the PC side this time.
Apple MacBook Pro MA092LL/A 17" Notebook PC (2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo, 1 GB RAM, 120 GB Hard Drive, SuperDrive) - A beauty of a laptop and easy to use.
Sony VGN-TX750P/B 11.1" Notebook PC (Intel Pentium M Processor 753 Ultra Low Voltage, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, DVD+R Dbl Layer/DVD+/-RW Drive) - Laptops are always a bit behind desktops, but this is still pretty powerful. That's the price you pay for the convenience. However, you probably won't feel any lack for most applications.
Compaq Presario V5306US 15.4" Notebook PC (Mobile AMD Sempron Processor 3300+, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive) - A lower end laptop computer, but still costs more than a lot of desktop computers. Getting everything you need in a laptop is always going to cost you a little, but the convenience is worth it.
