Music, like books, can be a tricky gift to give unless you know the person's taste. On the other hand, if you find someone they've never heard of but fits their tastes, you can really surprise someone.

Jump and Jive With Hi-5 - My daughter loves the Hi-5 show, and the music is simply wonderful. Very active and fun.
Here Come the ABCs [CD/DVD Combo] - A release from They Might Be Giants that is great for kids yet fun for adults to listen to as well.

The Road and the Radio - This Kenny Chesney looks to be a great hit with the fans.
There's More Where That Came From - Lee Ann Womack fans will enjoy this one. Great to listen to again and again.
Paint the Sky with Stars: The Best of Enya - Not many "Best of" albums are worth hearing, but this one is! I somehow ended up with two copies of this, and it's not a problem!
The Book of Secrets - I don't play a lot of CDs at home, but Loreena McKennitt is one of my favorite artists. She has a beautiful, Celtic sound to her music.
Come Away with Me - Norah Jones isn't as well known as many pop artists, but her music has a great sound with a wide appeal
Extraordinary Machine - Fiona Apple's third album, which was greatly anticipated and did not disappoint.
Some Hearts - Pop, but with a country feel. Carrie Underwood is one of the artists from American Idol.
