What kid doesn't want toys for Christmas? Once kids are able to understand how these things work, it's hard to go through a store's toy section without hearing "I want that," "Buy me that," and so forth.
Mr. Potato Head Darth Tater - Make your favorite Star Wars fan laugh! You have to appreciate the sense of humor in creating these.
Roll-a-Rounds: Drop & Roar Dinosaur - This one takes up some space, but babies as young as six months will have a blast dropping the balls through it.
Play TV Baseball 3 - How's this for a switch? An active video game. No substitute for playing outside, I'm sure, but a good way to make playing video games a little less passive.
Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set - Got this one for my daughter a year or two back, and she still loves it. You place a letter in the base and push it to hear the letter's name and sound. Push it without a letter and hear the alphabet. Best of all, there are two volume settings, so it's not always obnoxiously loud.
Magic MicT - We have this and it's pretty amazing. No batteries required, it really works and it's not all that loud for all of that.
Rocket Balloons by Toysmith - Lots of fun if you have a good place to shoot them off. A park works quite well.
IlluStory Book Kit - I like this one better than the books where you can have your child's name put in - in this one, your child writes the book and you send it in for printing.
Barrel of Crafts - Need lots of craft supplies? Here's a good start.
Deluxe Large Standing Easel - Kids love easels. My daughter has one similar to this, and it's quite simply a hit. I let her use the washable crayons on the whiteboard side, then just wipe it off with a damp paper towel.
Rub-a-Dub Bathtub Finger Paint By Alex - Make bathtime even more fun!
Crayola Washable Kid's Paint - 6 Ct. - I love washable paints for my kids. They don't always come perfectly out of clothes, but they do a pretty good job.
Razor A Scooter - Clear Black - Get the kids outside and playing! Scooters are a fun and easy way for them to play.
ATW Cargo Wagon - We have this. We love this. I've used it to take my daughter to the grocery store when we've lived within walking distance; just chained it outside. But it's great for playtime and family walks too.
more bikes, scooters & more....
Exclusive Magnetix 325 Count Super Case - These are a great creative toy. Kids of all ages love playing with magnets, and these let them make all kinds of shapes.
Classic Tinkertoy Construction Set - Jumbo (102 pieces) - If you played with Tinkertoys as a kid, you know why I'm recommending these! Enough said.
Capsela Max-Out Set #1000 by Kidology - I loved Capsela as a kids. Building things that could actually work.
ImagiBricks Giant Building Blocks - 24 Piece Cardboard Block Set by Imagiplay - Great for younger kids. The cardboard won't hurt when the towers fall down.
Connect Four - A classic strategy game. The rules are simple, obey the laws of gravity, and get four in a row first.
The Game of Life - Why take life seriously? It can just be a game.
Upwords by Milton Bradley - A great variation on a Scrabble style game for older kids. You can stack letters on top of others to make new words and really change the game.
Sudoku by Briarpatch - Sudoku is so popular right now. This game allows you to make up your own puzzles or solve any of 100 included puzzles.
Black Moon Shoes - These look like way too much fun, but I would definitely recommend padding, helmet, a blindfold for mom, good medical coverage...
Hide & Slide Climber - A nice, basic slide set for younger kids, but one they won't outgrow in six months.
Apogee Components, Inc. - Model Rockets of all kinds.
OzWest Phlat Ball Jr. by Toysmith - Goes from a disc to a ball as it flies. A really fun switch when you're playing catch.
Active Edge 26" Hoppity Ball by Small World Toys - It's been around since I was a kid at least, but it's still a great toy.
