Dolls and stuffed animals are often among a child's most cherished possessions. What child hasn't had a favorite they just had to sleep with for a time, often years?
Quality is vital in stuffed animals. When bought for very young children, less than three years of age, it is best if they do not have buttons or ribbons that could be a choking hazard. Eyes should be sewn in.
Teddy bears are a constant favorite. Kids love to hug them.
Dolls come in all kinds. There are dolls that look like babies, Barbie dolls and, more and more popular these days, the Bratz dolls. The Bratz dolls aren't something I particularly like for my daughter, but their popularity makes them worth mentioning.
While not precisely a stuffed animal or doll, I will mention here that Lamaze's Multi-Sensory Clutch Cube is a hit with babies. It gets their attention just beautifully. I have a very cute picture of my daughter, shortly after she learned to sit, leaning her head on her cube. It was her favorite for a long time.
