Play Houses

Play houses aren't just for little girls. Boys can enjoy them too, even if they call them forts or castles. Play houses may even come in such designs.

Play houses make a great addition to dress up activities. They give kids a place for their activities and more ways to pretend. A play house may not be just a house. It could be a fort, doctor's office, hideout, just about anything your kids can dream up.

Play houses may be made for indoor or for outdoor play. They may be quick to set up or take down, or take a lot of work.

You can even just have your kids make their own from the sofa cushions.

If a play house doesn't suit your need, you can also get play kitchens or even play washing machines. Kids love to pretend to do the things you do.

My daughter's play house only cost us a little time. My husband worked at Home Depot at the time, and brought home a double thickness cardboard box they had received blinds in. He cut in a door and some windows. We've had it over 3 years now, and it's still standing.
