Puppets

Puppets fascinate young children, and give them a great way to express themselves. They encourage imagination, interaction and creativity.

From simple puppets to detailed ones that resemble people or animals, puppets are lots of fun. My daughter's favorite puppet (and mine) is a purple bird we have that has an absolutely amazing cawing sound. I got him at Dave & Buster's some time ago, so I don't know where else he can be found or who makes him.

Older kids may enjoy the ventriloquist dummies. It's a challenge for them to learn how to throw their voice, which, let's be honest, will either impress their friends or not. All just depends on what they and their friends like.

Parents can play with their kids with puppets. Kids love to watch puppets. You can have the puppet bite you or your child, tell silly stories, grab things in its mouth and so forth.
