Even a trip to the grocery store requires supplies when your kids are young. If they're in diapers, that diaper bag had better be ready. If they were just recently potty trained, you'd better be sure that they go before you leave, but that's no guarantee that you won't hear that request for the potty right in the middle of the store.
Then there are the shopping carts. Parents worry about shopping cart seats and how dirty they are - did your parents? Of course, reactions to dirty seats depend on you. You can simply clean them with some baby wipes, including the handle if you think your kids might chew on it, as infants are prone to doing, while other parents may buy the seat cover, and keep their child from touching the seat at all. It all depends on what you feel is right for your family.
