Helping Your Son Choose a Halloween Costume

There are few things more fun for children than trick or treating. Running up to all the houses in the neighborhood and getting candy for it. Life just doesn't get much more fun when you're a kid.

The right costume is a big part of that fun. Children love the complements they get on their costumes, as well as the ability to pretend to be someone else.

Boys, of course, love superheroes. Maybe it's the classics like Superman, Batman or Spiderman, or it might be more current ones like the Power Rangers. Fortunately, such costumes are generally pretty easy to find.

Many boys often enjoy dressing as something scary or bloody. You have to decide what is acceptable to you as a parent and keep the costume within the boundaries you set.

Think about characters from recent popular movies and books as well. There's the Dementors or Harry Potter from Harry Potter, Aragorn from Lord of the Rings, Jango Fett from the Star Wars movies and so on.

Animal costumes can also be a lot of fun. They can also be pretty easy to make. A shirt and pants to match the color of the animal, plus accessories such as ears and tails, and you have a basic animal costume. You can also buy more detailed costumes for a pretty reasonable price.

Halloween is a great time to let your son show his creativity and interests as he picks his Halloween costume. I've partnered with a site to give you a great selection of boys Halloween costumes to help you enjoy this process.
