I've been watching the news from Pakistan and India with a sense of horror these past few days, just seeing the casualty numbers growing, especially those of the children. So many schools collapsed there that they're talking about essentially losing a generation in that area. I just can't imagine that. Even if it isn't quite as bad as that, the simple fact is they have lost a tremendous number of lives in that area and all too many were indeed children.

OK, I admit it – my daughter’s been singing “Mary had a little lamb” just about incessantly lately. You take inspiration where you find it. It’s a technique that works wonders for kids as well as adults.
