Red Flags and Keeping your Kids' Friends Out

Well, the kids are finally more or less over the big cold from last week. Wish I could say the same! And just to make life more interesting, I slammed my toe into a box, so it hurts to walk right now too. I spent most of Monday on the couch with my foot propped up.
On the plus side, I've had to take a lot of time to enjoy my kids. That counts for something, doesn't it?

Today was a beautiful day, one of the last great days of summer I presume, considering it is officially Fall. Typically, our house would be filled with the sounds of neighborhood children playing either laughing, crying, arguing or being unbelievably quiet. The quiet times are when I need to worry most.
