I'm back! Sorry about skipping last week's newsletter. I was out of town on a rather sudden trip to visit my grandfather in the hospital, about 500 miles away. He's a fighter, that's all I can say! Got back late Monday night too tired to work on the newsletter, so I decided to take a week off from it.
I've decided to try cutting this newsletter down in size a little bit, just to see how well that goes. Now there's just the feature article, no guest article. I may use this space to announce other articles elsewhere on this site, but I'm just curious if a shorter newsletter might work a little better. Feel free to let me know!
Can you believe it's practically summer already? We're plenty warm here in southern California already. My husband blew up the pool for the kids; it's about 2 feet deep, so enough for the adults to relax in and lots of fun for the kids to play in. Works great in the really humid weather we've had this week.

Just about everyone makes mistakes with their money. It’s just so easy to fall into the various traps that keep you from making the most of what you have. Then you have the rising cost of living that makes things get worse instead of better.
You aren’t going to behave perfectly with your money all the time; that’s simply not in most people’s nature. But if you can learn how to make the big mistakes less often you can save more money, leaving yourself with more financial flexibility.
Some of these mistakes may not seem that expensive at first glance, but when you take a look at how they add up you’ll see the problem.
These are just some of the major mistakes you can make with your money that can get extremely expensive before you realize it. Take a little time and think before you buy. It can simplify your life and give you more leeway when things go wrong.
