The Editor's Desk - From Beneath the Clutter
Just getting the newsletter out quickly today. The kids and I have miserable colds, and I'm just not up to sitting for long periods at the computer today. Good thing I don't have to talk to send this - I don't have a voice today either!

How to Get Your Husband to Back Your Home Business Idea
"Please -- Pretty Please!! I really, really want to do this." From the sounds of things you'd think a parent and a child were in "one of those" arguments. But it's really a wife trying to persuade her husband to let her work from home. Getting your husband to back your home business can, at times, be as hazardous as those black diamond ski slopes.

Family Picnics and Cutting the Grocery Bill
The Editor's Desk - From Beneath the Clutter
Gage is walking! It's pretty exciting if tiring at times. He still loves to drag me around the house, walking while holding my fingers (really hard on the back, but very cute), but now he can do it on his own too. I suppose one of the good things about having two young kids is much of the childproofing for this stage is already done... except for those parts which my daughter keeps pulling out toys of hers that are too small for her brother. Family Picnics
Recently I read my son's story book, where he wrote about our last holiday. It said "We are going to Tathra, because we never get to go anywhere". I'm afraid it's true. Lack of funds and my husband's work commitments generally means we are staying home when other people are leaving town. But one thing we do do - and do often - is have picnics. (read more)

RSS and Economizing
The Editor's Desk - From Beneath the Clutter
It's been an exciting week in my family. My older sister just got a job with Microsoft, so as of this coming weekend, she's moving to Redmond, WA. She's 3 months pregnant too, so the timing on this one is pretty challenging. This move meant that my mother decided we had to do a family photo. Picture trying to get 14 people in one picture in one of the little studios Sears has in their stores. It was pretty comical. The pictures look like they should come out pretty nicely, though, if a bit crowded. (read more)

Happy New Year!
Hope you have all had a great holiday season. Had a little stress in mine when my grandfather was hospitalized with pneumonia (again), but things have turned out well. Otherwise, we had a lot of fun.
