Happy Halloween to those that celebrate it! I hope you have fun taking the kids trick or treating and seeing all the great costumes!
For those of you that don't visit the forums regularly, you might want to know that I'm sponsoring a Halloween costume contest there. One of the disadvantages of being a stay at home parent is that people tend to assume that you don’t do ANYTHING all day. There’s a decided assumption out there that stay at home moms just watch soap operas and eat all day, and that home businesses are nothing more than hobbies. Those of us who actually stay at home know better, of course.

Who Loathes Laundry?
When there are kids in the house, you probably do a lot of laundry. I know I do. My daughter is in the preschooler phase of changing her clothes a couple times a day, which I’m sure is somewhat different from when older girls go through outfit after outfit. And, of course, every discarded outfit goes into the clothes hamper.

I was doing research for my web site, on ways to save money. Checking other web sites and discussion forums, I found that the cheapskates are hitting new - and funnier - lows. Choosing a spouse according to how frugal he or she is, and reusing the plastic from bacon packages were just a couple of the serious suggestions. One man even said, "Instead of buying toilet paper, I use yesterday's newspaper."
