I got an email this week on a topic I thought some of you might find of interest, so I will share it here:
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (www.missingkids.com) and its partner organizations are launching a preventive safety campaign in May 2007 to encourage parents, guardians, educators, and other concerned citizens to take time to talk with their children about ways to keep safer. Take 25 (www.take25.org) will help foster an ongoing dialogue between parents and children about personal safety. In addition to a national outreach and awareness campaign, hundreds of communities across the country will host children's safety events throughout the month of May 2007. For safety tips, to find a local event, or to get involved, please visit www.take25.org (complete site will launch in March 2007.) Are you among the very small group of people that live up to their full potential? I think we are capable of much more than we are currently demonstrating and that at some level we all know what we are really capable of. The challenge is that all to often we stay with what's comfortable and we tend to live our lives in the 'luke warm' water of mediocrity.
