Making the Holidays Happy

The Editor's Desk - From Beneath the Clutter

No idea how many of you saw it, but I had a doozy of a downtime for this site over the weekend. Somewhere around 19 hours, and due to a disc going bad on the server I'm hosted at. Drove me completely nuts waiting for my site to come back up and to see that everything was, indeed, fine.

On the plus side, the company I host with is generally extremely reliable. Aside from this particular, highly unusual event they've had less downtime than anyone else I've ever hosted with. That counts for something. I'll be shocked if I ever have something that bad happen with them again. I'm just glad it happened over the weekend when fewer people are trying to visit my site anyhow. If it had to happen, better then than other times.
