The Editor's Desk - From Beneath the Clutter

Ah, one more week until my husband starts his job. Two more until school starts.

Should be interesting to see how the kids cope. My son was so mad when Daddy started staying at home all the time, but he loved it when his sister was suddenly more available to play when school got out. Now both of those will be changing in short order.

He's not going to preschool this year - things were too crazy to even try to sign him up, not to mention the cost. But there will still be speech therapy, and classes when I can manage that. I don't just want the poor kid sitting at home bored and alone too often, after all.

I'm looking forward to having my husband working again. The job may not be ideal, but that's what's out there. And I know my daughter will be happy to be in school again, if only because it's so much easier to arrange play time with her friends then. But I suspect that even before the baby comes I will be getting less peace and quiet around here, since I'll be the only target for my son.

Not that I'm complaining.
