Medical Transcription Basics
Free eCourse on being a medical transcriptionist.
Just about every company listed here requires experience or training from select schools. I strongly recommend getting experience or going through a strong educational program before applying for any medical transcription position. Medical transcription is a very demanding work at home job, but it is an area where skilled employees are in demand.
AAPT Transcription
Requires formal training or minimum two years experience. Must be a legal United States resident living in the United States.
Absolute Document Services
Minimum 2 years transcription experience and type at least 70 wpm, higher for some positions. Corporate, Legal and Medical transcription positions may be available.
Accurate Typing
Requires 2 years experience in acute care transcription.
Advanced Transcription
Must have at least 2+ years experience in a hospital or clinic setting, with knowledge in all facets of medical transcription. 24 hour turnaround time.
Applied Medical Services
2+ years experience required in a clinical or hospital setting. Shift differential pay available.
Archivus
Two years experience minimum, CMT differential available.

Requires at least one year of practical experience in a hospital or clinical setting. Take an online transcription test to show your skills.

At least two years experience transcribing in a hospital or clinic setting. Benefits may be available.
