Translation Work at Home Jobs

Are you fluent in more than one language? It is possible to work at home as a translator. You recieve audio files or documents and translate them as appropriate. These jobs are often freelance opportunities rather than jobs.

Note: I do not know which companies are hiring at this time. This is merely a list of companies that at the time I visited them hired employees to work at home. Please pay attention to all job requirements. It's a waste of time to apply for jobs that you aren't remotely qualified for.

ABLE Innovations
Hires translators and interpreters. Prefers people with technical experience. Translators must have at least 3 years experience. Look for contract openings.

Accurapid
Hires translators as needed for projects. Will need to know your specialties

AE Inc.
Work as a contractor providing high quality translation in whatever languages are your specialty.

AERO Translations
Hiring freelance translators and related positions. Must have at least 5 years experience with a translation related degree or 7 years without. 3 client recommendations also required.

Affordable Translations
Always accepting resumes for people interested in contract translation work. Must have a TIN.

American High-Tech Transcription
Site will tell you if they are currently accepting applications. Translators must be U.S. citizens and completely fluent in both Spanish and English.

Bilingual America
Must have native Spanish speaking skills. Must have a Bachelor's degree. Job is teaching Spanish over the telephone. Must live in the continental United States.

Eriksen Translations
Register with the company and be contacted when a job is available that matches your skills. Your work is evaluated over time to give you more chances at appropriate assignments.

Executive Linguist Agency
Looking for people with experience in interpreting or translating in the legal, medical, business, or high-tech industries. Pays twice a month and no need for invoices.

Global Translations
Requires at least one year translation experience and either a university degree or industry experience.

GoFluent
Looking for trainers fluent in various languages. As of this writing, hiring only in Kansas, Missouri, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania.

Language123
Not a company hiring you, but a place for people needing a translator to find someone. Post your experience and specialties.

Language Line
Native or near native proficiency in English and a second language required. Over the phone interpretation services.

Lionbridge
Looking for skilled translators with experience in software localization or in the telecommunications, medical, pharmaceutical, financial or marketing domain. Must have at least two years professional translation experience.

Translators, Inc.
Take their online test and fill out the application. Expect it to take up to 6 months to get your test graded and be contacted. Must provide professional references.

WinTranslation
Freelance translators must be native speakers of the language they are translating. Must have skills with a translation memory application.
