Great answer, huh?

The thing is, it&#039;s about learning style. My kids detest homework, because they either get it or they don&#039;t, and if they don&#039;t, they need to work through it their way.

Other kids find it forces them to do things again and again, which builds retention.

As for the summer? Summer is for play, for extension programs, and for relaxation. I don&#039;t have great angst about requiring that a book get read before school starts, but if they started giving real homework? My kids would probably be in a different school.]]></description>
