Stephanie, they do now but for years they were both very early risers. By the time my youngest ingrained an early wake-up habit in me, he’d grown up enough to decide he wanted to sleep later himself. I just kept the habit of getting up a bit before him, if only so I have a chance to use the bathroom without having to talk through the door.

Your #10 was one of the reasons I became a stay at home Mom. When my oldest son was born, I kept working and he went to daycare, but every time he would catch one of those little colds that babies get, the daycare wouldn’t take him and I would have to stay home. My employer only gave us 10 personal days a year, and after I used those up, they told me they would fire me if I had another one. I was pregnant with Nathan, and along with realizing how much daycare for two kids was going to cost, I knew I would just need more sick days. I couldn’t stand the stress anymore!

I was just at the school today for an hour. And yesterday for an hour. And… well, yeah. It IS nice to have these luxuries, isn’t it?

(and I eat less when I eat at home. I like that!)

Never having to find a good daycare is priceless. For me, it’s also “Being able to wake up when I’m actually done sleeping.”

It is such a great thing to be able to be stay at home moms. I love being with my one year old and being there for my 2 teens.
