I have to admit, I love what I do. Being a stay at home mom is a real delight. But I honestly don’t know that I would enjoy it as much without my home business. It’s wonderful having something I can focus on that is about my interests.<\/p>\n

Not to mention bringing in some money. It really helps to not be limited to a single income.<\/p>\n

I know a lot of stay at home moms think about starting a home business. Some even take action. But the hardest, most challenging part is really getting started.<\/p>\n

I don’t just mean joining an opportunity. I mean commiting to it and working hard. Doing what it takes to make it work.<\/p>\n

You can’t kid yourself. Working at home is hard work. There isn’t a home business out there that does all the work for you.<\/p>\n

But the wonderful thing is that the right business is fun to work on. There will still be some parts that are tedious, but if you delight in your work overall you can get through the dull parts.<\/p>\n

Let me share with you two of the things I love most about running a website:<\/p>\n

I can do it anytime.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I can take a break anytime.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When you’re a stay at home mom, those are highly valuable things. My primary working times are when my kids are playing together, my son is taking a nap, or they are both asleep at night. I can get bits of work done during the day, yet be there when the kids need me.<\/p>\n

For example, I have a rule that if my kids want a story read while I’m working, I quit working and start reading. It may take a couple minutes if I’m in the middle of a thought, but I can do it.<\/p>\n

When you have an almost 3 year old and a 5 year old, that’s really valuable.<\/p>\n

One of the most intimidating things is just getting started. When I started this site, I didn’t realize where it would take me. It has succeeded in ways I never expected. It has made me work on things I never expected to work on.<\/p>\n

Running a website is not as hard as some might think. I took some website design courses in college, but that is not what everyone needs.<\/p>\n

I firmly believe in the products SBI has to offer. It’s not just hosting. It’s tools to build a successful site. It’s a process you go through to help you succeed with your business. Even my dad loves it.<\/p>\n

Why not use the new year to stop putting off starting your own home business. Do the work and get started. If you choose well you will love what you do as much as I do.<\/p>\n
