Money may be tight for you, but it's probably even worse for other families in your area. Take a little time and do something for someone you don't know. Here are some suggestions:
Donate blood. If you qualify, this is something very easy and safe to do. Check with your local Blood Bank or Red Cross for a donation center near you.
Volunteer. You don't have to spend money to help. Do volunteer work at your local homeless shelter or retirement home. Work for Habitat for Humanity. Visit the animals at the animal shelter.
You can also just buy a little extra food for the food bank. One can of food every time you go shopping or even every other time won't hit most budgets all that hard but can mean a lot to those relying on the local food bank.
Have a suggestion? Let us know.
Donate your old maternity clothes, baby clothes, and baby supplies to a local Crisis Pregnancy Center. They are often listed under abortion alternatives in the phone book.
