"But We NEED It!"

Yes, Ariel is in one of those moods today. She is completely, utterly and unalterably convinced that we NEED to go buy Peter Pan today. NOW!

I must admit, she’s really working the excuses. She wants Daddy to take her to the store so that I can have more quiet work time. Gotta love that excuse.

After listening to a variety of reasons why she needs to get that movie today, my husband told her that she’s a conspicuous consumer. He likes doing that kind of thing just to see what she’ll say. She has no idea what either of those words means, after all.

So she of course asked him what that meant. He explained about buying things you need versus what you want, and she explained that if she didn’t get it, we’d all get sick from crying, and so it was indeed a need.

Long story short, no, we aren’t headed out to the store to fulfill this particular whim. But I have to admire how much thought she put into the pursuit.
