Silent Kids
Here’s another song. Not work at home this time, but a situation all parents know – just why are the kids being soooo quiet?
Silent kids, quiet kids,
Wait a minute, that’s not good.
Walking down the hall, toys on the floor
Stepped on a bunch of them, now my foot’s sore.
Can’t yell, or I’ll scare the children!
Can’t yell, or I’ll scare the children.
Silent kids, quiet kids,
In their room, I’m worried now!
Peek through the door quietly, what do I see?
Colors on the wall, the hamster’s free.
Come on, they know better than that!
Come on, they know better than that.
Silent kids, quiet kids,
Now I see, so much more.
They found my makeup, used it on dolls,
On themselves, and yes, in the halls.
What a mess to clean up!
What a mess to clean up.
Silent kids, quiet kids.
Now they start, see I’m here.
Mommy, mommy, we were just having fun.
And we promise, this mischief is done.
Besides, he started it first!
Besides, she started it first!
Silence kids, quiet kids.
Time to clean up this mess.
Catch the hamster, scrub up the walls.
Put the toys away, especially in the hall.
But Mommy, that’s just so hard!
But Mommy, that’s just so hard!
Silent kids, quiet kids.
Bedtime at last, what a day!
Now I get to rest, wonder what’s in store,
For tomorrow, I know they’ll do more.
Who knows what they’ll come up with!
Who knows what they’ll come up with!

This song is so accurate!! Just the other day I was working and thought to myself boy the kids are being quiet! I found them in the kitchen with about ten of their toys shoved in the dogs water, with of course dog water all over the kitchen floor. This song is so cute, Great job.
I think all we parents know this one, which is what made it such fun to write.
I think you may have missed your true calling, Stephanie.
You’re a talented little cookie 😛
